According to the reporter of Khaneh Mellat, Ali Hassan Khalil, the Political Deputy to Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, met with Dr. Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, this afternoon (Sunday, 25 Aban 1404), at the Parliament building in Tehran.

During the meeting, Dr. Qalibaf expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Lebanese delegation in Iran, saying:
“Our relations with Mr. Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, are extremely cordial, and we maintain close communication to coordinate various matters.”

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly further highlighted the attention the Islamic Republic of Iran pays to the Islamic Ummah, including the Lebanese society, adding:
“We have demonstrated in practice that we make no distinction between Sunnis and Shias. Martyr Soleimani conducted his missions in Iraq, Syria, and other countries with this very approach. The enemies of the Islamic world are our enemies.”

Referring to the belligerent nature of the Israeli regime, he stated:
“The ceasefire existed only in words. Whenever the Israeli regime finds the opportunity, it undoubtedly continues its crimes and expansionist actions. Although a superficial ceasefire has been established in the region, reports show that since its implementation, 300 people have been martyred in Lebanon.”

Dr. Qalibaf, noting the political challenges in Lebanon, continued:
“Mr. Nabih Berri is the axis of unity and a symbol of wisdom, prudence, and maturity for the Shia community in Lebanon.”

He further highlighted Berri’s prudence throughout the war and the ceasefire process, adding:
“He acted with great wisdom throughout this period. I have closely followed developments, and his political insight has truly manifested itself during this stage.”

The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, referring to his two trips to Lebanon during the wartime period, stated:
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will support any decision that the Lebanese take collectively, and we consider supporting Lebanon among our duties.”

He also emphasized:
“It is through our cooperation that we become stronger, and in this context, the United States and the Zionist regime must recognize that we stand together under all circumstances.”

Ali Hassan Khalil, expressing his pleasure at visiting Iran and conveying warm greetings from Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, said:
“The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament attributes significant importance to the Islamic Consultative Assembly and to you as its Speaker. You undertook several trips to Lebanon during difficult and critical times, reflecting the support you extend to our country.”

He added that Lebanon had faced one of the most difficult wars in recent times, stating:
“The Islamic Republic of Iran stood firm alongside Lebanon. We hope that Iran will continue to support us even more in confronting the challenges ahead.”

The Political Deputy of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament also referred to the continuation of the Israeli regime’s war on Lebanon, noting:
“Although a ceasefire agreement was signed, the enemy has never adhered to it. This regime continues its criminal actions daily and carries out assassinations in our country. From the start of the ceasefire until now, 300 people have been martyred. Nevertheless, Lebanon and the Resistance Front continue to honor the agreement.”
